Animal Reports

We made awesome Animal Alphabet Books. Each student was given a letter of the alphabet. They got to chose an animal that began with that letter. They each did an oral report and showed a display representing that animal. We wrote at least six interesting facts in a spider graph and then chose the most important fact to write a complete sentence about. We also illustrated our books. It was amazing learning and tons of fun. All of the kids did a report. Great job kids, fantastic support from the parents. Thanks so much!

AMAZING ANIMALS

Our Reading Book section was all about different kinds of animals. We learned about penguins. We learned a lot of penguin facts and made penguins for the back wall. One thing we learned about them is that they carry their eggs and then their babies on their feet. We got some big eggs, filled them with beans and practiced carrying them on our feet and passing them to each other like the penguins do. It was tough! It took a lot of coordination.

THE ANTS GO MARCHING - We read a book called Ants. We made an ant hill triarama and  made a model of an ant including the head, the thorax and the abdomen, all six legs and the antennae.
