Happy Thanksgiving!

We learned a lot about the first Thanksgiving. We created a setting on our back wall. Each of the kids made a tepee, a log (pretzels) cabin and some Native children and some Pilgrim children. It was adorable. We had a Rendezvous which we learned was a old fashioned gathering. The Natives and the Pilgrims taught each other different crafts and different games. Each class was divided into four different groups and traveled to all four second grade classes to make a craft, paint, build a necklace, write a legend or learn a game. We have the best parents on earth because they provided an amazing Thanksgiving feast and helped serve it and clean it up. After our Rendezvous, we created our own diorama of the first Thanksgiving. We really had a great time and learned so much about Thanksgiving. Thanks parents for the awesome support!
