Sun and Ice Play
One of the stories in our reading book is a play called Sun and Ice. There are five speaking parts in the play. It is about who is more powerful over the earth, the ice or the sun. After we read it the first time, the kids decided that they wanted to act it out. Each child drew a part and made a costume. They read and acted out the play with the costume they made then they switched costumes and read and acted it out again. Tricky, fun way to have the kids reread a story with expression and fluency. Great little actors and fun play to watch.

These were fun to watch--I loved how each student really got in to his/her role!
