Luckiest Teacher on Earth

It was such an amazing and humbling surprise to be selected as a finalist in the Simplot Inspirational Teacher of the Year contest.  I truly appreciate the people who took time to nominate me and send in their nominations.  You could have knocked me over with a feather when I saw the little cheering squad that showed up to support me at the meeting.  The emcee read the nominations of all of the 20 finalists. I was the 20th one they read.  It was very interesting because around 420 teachers were nominated for the award of those they chose 20 finalists and of those only seven were elementary teachers.  I am truly honored.  Thank you so much for your remarkable thoughtfulness!  I love my job!!!!
