Thanksgiving dioramas

We built a 'First Thanksgiving' scene on the back wall. Each on the kids made Pilgrim children and Native American children. They also created a tepee and a log cabin made of pretzels.  They made a diorama of the same scene only they shrunk it. They turned out so cute.  They took them home to decorate their family's Thanksgiving!

Building Characters

We have been learning about characters in stories and how they make stories fun.  We read the book Good Night Owl! which is a great book about an Owl who tried to sleep all day and the animals that lived in the tree with him kept him awake!  But, then night came! you can probably figure out the rest.  We had a great discussion about the wonderful characters.  The kids worked together to build characters from the story.  When we retold the story, the kids got to add their characters to the tree.  It was such a blast and the characters they created were amazing!

Halloween Fun

We had an awesome Halloween party.  First, we had a fashion show so that we could cheer for everyone's amazing costumes.  Then, the whole school had a fun parade. Last, we went to our classroom and played five really fun games. We had great snacks. Thank you Mrs. Bowman!
