We have the best P.T.O. in Pocatello. We had an awesome school carnival. 19 out of 20 kids from our class attended. Their costumes were adorable. It was so much fun! Thank you P.T.O., we truly appreciate all you do for us.

It's a Dog Life - Ruff, Ruff, Ruff
One of our stories in our reading series is Henry and Mudge and the Starry Night. We learned a lot about dogs and tied it into our study of farms because most farms have dogs. We made toilet paper dogs and wrote a paragraph about our favorite dog. We learned a song called "Dog Breath". At the end of the song the 'little doggies" (kids) pretend to take a nap. I must say, it is one of my favorite parts of the day (just kidding).

Beautiful Fall Fun
Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the beautiful colors and the crisp, clean smell. We went on a leaf hunt. The kids were aloud to collect 20 leaves. They were encouraged to chose as many different colors, shapes and sizes as they could find. It was really fun to watch them compare and observe all the different characteristics of each leaf. When we got back to class we sorted and classified the leaves and then graphed them. We did crayon rubbings, which the kids found fascinating, then we created leaf-creatures. These kids are so creative. One of the kids even told me that "chilly is his favorite season" and another one said, "Fall is so smellful, I love it". This is such a great, fun class.

P.E. in the classroom!
The School District no longer includes P.E. in the elementary curriculum and have asked teachers to integrate it into our classroom schedules. At first, I was panicked to come up with activities but we have had a blast with the games I have been able to find. These kids are so much fun!
